Discover the Bless You: the newest small wallet
In conversation with Klaartje de Hartog, owner of Keecie.

What inspired you to design the Bless You wallet?
I wanted to create a wallet that is small but can still hold a surprisingly large amount. In our collection, we have the Cat Chase Small, which many customers love, but of course not everyone likes cats. That’s why we often get asked if the wallet is available with a different print. So I’ve now designed a wallet that is the same size as the Cat Chase Small, but with a botanical print.

We decided to update our Small Wishes wallet. It had an olive branch print, with a little beetle crawling along the branch as a surprise. The new Bless You wallet has an accordion-style base, giving it more compartments.
At the front, there’s a pocket for your most-used card (travel card or bank card). The zippered pocket is perfect for coins or a single key. At the back, you’ll find two extra compartments: one for banknotes and one for receipts, keeping everything nicely organised. To store everything securely, the wallet closes with a sturdy snap button.
The Bless You has slightly rounder corners than the Cat Chase Small, making it pair beautifully with other recent Keecie bags. Its shape complements the bags shown below perfectly:

With the Wish Tree, a special match is created: the olive branch prints complement each other perfectly:

Can you tell us a bit about the production process?
When my sewing studio has made a first prototype, I test it myself for a while. Only when everything is right, from the print to how much it can hold, do we give the green light for production.
Coincidentally, I was in the studio just as the first Bless You wallets were being made. I immediately took some photos and videos. I always enjoy seeing how everything is made in the sewing studio and how the print looks different on the various leather colours. The craftsmanship, the atmosphere, it makes me happy every single time.

Why are you so fond of this wallet yourself?
I think it’s a nicely handy model. And I love the olive branch print. The olive branch is a symbol of peace and hope, something we could definitely use in these turbulent times.
