About our privacy policy
Keecie understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your information is used and shared online. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits our site and will only collect and use information in ways that are useful to you and in a manner consistent with your rights and our obligations under the law.
This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is used online. PII, as described in Dutch information security and privacy legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact or locate an individual, or to identify them in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our policy.

What personal information do we collect from the people who visit our website?
When you place an order or register on our site, where relevant, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, address, VAT number or other details to help you with your experience.

Webshop software
Our online store is based on Shopify software. Personally identifiable information you make available to us is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your information to give us (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on our agreement with Shopify, they are required to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the application of SSL encryption, strong password policies and secure data storage. Shopify reserves the right to use data collected within its own group and affiliated partners, to further improve the service. Shopify abides by the valid legal retention periods for (personal) data.
Webhosting
Our online store is hosted by Shopify. We share personally identifiable information about you with this party to ensure the best service for you. Shopify has access to your information to give us (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on our agreement with Hipex, they are required to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.
We purchase webhosting and email services from Shopify. Gmail processes personal data on our behalf but does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Shopify and Gmail have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Shopify and Gmail are obligated to maintain confidentiality under the agreement.

Our Shopify online store is linked with our Exact accounting system software. We use an S-connect link, and S for Software maintains this link and provides us with technical support. Personally identifiable information that you make available to us is shared with this party to ensure the best service for you. S for Software has access to your information They will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on our agreement with S for Software, they are required to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.
Email, newsletter, mailing lists
We use MailChimp to send our email newsletters. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for their own purposes. At the bottom of every email you will see an automated 'unsubscribe' link. You will stop receiving our newsletter if you click the ‘unsubscribe’ button. Your personal information will be securely stored by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that indicate whether emails have been opened and read or not. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve the provision of services and in this context, to share information with third parties.
If you place an order in our online store and provide us with at least your name and email address, we will include you in our customer base and therefore automatically in the email file for our newsletter.
You can also sign up for our newsletter through our website. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your registration. Your email address will then be manually entered into our customer base and checked.
In principle, we don’t send our newsletter out more than once a month. Only in very special cases, we may incidentally send an extra newsletter. Our newsletter contains information that is important for you as a Keecie customer, such as: changes to our company information and organization, news about our activities, product information, special offers, announcements, fairs, shows and events. At the bottom of each newsletter we include an 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this you will no longer receive our newsletter.
Payment processors
We use the payment processing platforms Mollie and Paypal to handle payments in our shop. In addition, we use ING bank and bank transfers for PIN payments to SumUp. Our payment processors may process the following personal data: name, address, residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number, total amount of your order and order number.
The payment processors have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. The payment processors retain the right to use your information to improve their service and share (anonymised) data with third parties. In the event of a request for deferred payment (credit facility), the payment processors share personal data and information relating to your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the abovementioned safeguards relating to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of their services for which they engage third party payment processors. The payment processors do not keep your data longer than the statutory time limit permitted by law.
Reviews
We collect reviews through the Judge Me platform. If you leave a review on Judge Me then you are required to enter your name, city and email address. Judge Me shares this information with us, so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, Judge Me may contact you to ask you to explain your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name, email address and information relating to your order with Judge Me. They use this information only for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Judge Me has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Judge Me reserves the right to use third parties for the purpose of delivering their services. We have given permission for this to Judge Me. All the abovementioned guarantees relating to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the services for which Judge Me engages third parties.
Shipping and logistics
When you place an order with us, it is our job to ship your package to you. We use the services of GLS, FedEx, Skynet and PostNL to complete deliveries. For this purpose we need to share your name, address and residence details with GLS, FedEx, Skynet or PostNL. GLS, FedEx and PostNL only use this information to deliver their services. In the event that GLS, FedEx and PostNL engage subcontractors, they will share your information with these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
For our administration and accounting records, we use the services of Exact. We share your (company) name, address, residence information, email address, phone number, potential VAT number and details regarding your order. This information is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal details are securely protected and stored. Exact is obligated to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Exact doesn’t use your personal information for any purpose other than described above.
Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website, is processed with the objective of gaining insight into how our website is functioning and to further improve our services. This information (e.g., your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation in fiscal and criminal investigation
In some cases Keecie may be legally obligated to share data about you that relates to ongoing fiscal or criminal investigations by the Government. In such cases we are obligated to share your data, but we will appeal against this within the possibilities the law provides us.
Retention periods
We will retain your information for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means we keep your customer data until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you notify us of this, we will also regard this as a request to forget your data. Based on the applicable administrative regulations, we are obligated to keep invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for the duration of the applicable period.
Your rights
On the basis of the applicable Dutch and European legislation, as a data subject, you have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below what rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, to prevent abuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to the email address already known to us.
Right to inspection
You always have the right to inspect the data we have processed or another party has processed on our behalf, and that relates to your person or is traceable back to you. You can make an inspection request to our privacy issues staff member. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted we will send you, by email, a copy of all the information with an overview of all the processors who have access to this information, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to change the data we have processed or another party has processed on our behalf, and that relates to your person or is traceable back to you. You can make a request to change your data to our privacy issues staff member. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted we will send you confirmation, to the email address known to us, that the data has been changed.
Right to restriction of data processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we have processed or another party has processed on our behalf, and that relates to your person or is traceable back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy issues staff member. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted we will send you confirmation, to the email address known to us, that the data will no longer be processed until you rescind the restriction.
Right on transferability
You always have the right to enable another party to process the data we have processed or another party has processed on our behalf, and that relates to your person or is traceable back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy issues staff member. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted we will send you, at the email address known to us, statements or copies of any data about you that we have processed of that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf. In all probability, in such a case, we will no longer be able to provide our services to you, because we will no longer be able to guarantee the secure linking of data files.
Right to object and other rights
When applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Keecie. When you lodge an objection we will immediately cease processing the data pending the settlement of your objection. If your objection is deemed valid, we will make available to you transcripts and/or copies of data we have processed or another party has processed on our behalf and then permanently discontinue processing. In addition, you have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decisions or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this law is applicable. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy issues staff member.
