General Terms and Conditions Keecie (version: April 2026)
Welcome to the general terms and conditions of Keecie. How nice that you are planning to purchase a product from us. Before you do so, we would like to inform you about these terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions are designed to provide clarity, transparency and protection for both you and us. We advise you to read them carefully. Article 1. Definitions
1. General terms and conditions: the entirety of the provisions set out below.
2. Keecie product(s): all products sold by Keecie in the webshop. This includes, but is not limited to, bags, wallets and accessories.
3. Keecie: Keecie is a private limited company and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 89740262. Keecie is established at Zeeburgerdijk 379 (1095 DW) in Amsterdam.
4. Customer(s): a natural or legal person with whom Keecie concludes or intends to conclude an agreement.
a. Consumer: the natural person acting for purposes outside their trade or professional activity.
5. Agreement: the agreement as concluded between Keecie and the Customer.
6. Parties: the Customer and Keecie together.
7. Written: on paper or in digital form (for example by email).
8. Webshop: www.keecie.nl.
Article 2. The general terms and conditions
1. The general terms and conditions apply to all offers, orders and agreements made or performed by or on behalf of Keecie.
2. Deviations from these general terms and conditions are only possible if agreed in writing between Keecie and the Customer. If the Parties deviate from the general terms and conditions, the remaining provisions shall remain in force unless the Parties agree otherwise.
3. Keecie is entitled to unilaterally supplement and/or amend the general terms and conditions. If the general terms and conditions are substantially amended, the Consumer has the right to terminate the agreement.
4. As these general terms and conditions apply, any general terms and conditions of the Customer are expressly excluded (they are rejected).
5. If a provision in these general terms and conditions conflicts with a provision in specific product or service terms and conditions, the provisions of the specific product or service terms shall prevail, unless otherwise agreed in writing between Keecie and the Customer.
6. If a provision in these general terms and conditions is unclear or incorrect, it shall be interpreted as far as possible in the light of the other provisions.
7. If a provision in these general terms and conditions is declared legally unenforceable, for example if it is annulled or voided, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
Article 3. The offer from Keecie
1. The offer from Keecie is without obligation.
2. The offer can be found in the webshop. The offer contains a complete and accurate description of the products and services offered. The description is sufficiently detailed to allow the Consumer to properly assess the offer.
3. It is possible to order a free leather sample via the webshop:
a. The leather sample may be kept by the Customer;
b. Shipping costs for the sample are paid by Keecie;
c. A maximum of five (5) leather samples may be ordered per Customer.
4. Samples, models, (leather) swatches, descriptions and other promotional materials are shown as accurately as possible but are indicative only.
5. Keecie is not bound by an offer if the Customer could reasonably understand that the offer contains an obvious mistake, such as a typing error, calculation error or other clerical error.
6. Keecie is entitled to adjust prices as long as no agreement has been concluded.
7. Keecie may publish offers in the webshop and may change or withdraw these offers.
8. Customers cannot derive any rights from previous prices or offers.
Article 4. The agreement
1. The agreement is concluded at the moment the Customer accepts the offer and fulfils the applicable conditions.
2. Once the Customer has accepted the offer, Keecie will confirm receipt of the acceptance electronically by sending an order confirmation email. Until receipt of this confirmation, the Consumer may withdraw from the agreement.
3. By placing an order with Keecie, a legally binding purchase agreement is formed, which obliges the Customer to make payment.
4. All Keecie products remain the property of Keecie until full payment has been received. If the Customer fails to pay, Keecie may reclaim the products at any time at the Customer’s expense. All related costs are borne by the Customer. If third parties intend to seize the products, the Customer must inform Keecie immediately.
5. Keecie is entitled to cancel orders without stating reasons. Any payment already made will be refunded to the original bank account.
6. Keecie is entitled to terminate the agreement, without prior notice of default and without court intervention, if the Customer is declared bankrupt, applies for bankruptcy, requests a cooling-off period under the Dutch WHOA Act, is placed under guardianship or administration, applies for suspension of payments, ceases business activities, or if attachment is levied on the Customer’s assets, or if it otherwise becomes apparent that the Customer cannot or will not meet their payment obligations. In such cases, all claims become immediately due and payable.
7. Commercial resale of the products is not permitted unless agreed between the Parties.
Article 5. Prices, shipping costs and payment
1. Prices in the webshop are in euros, inclusive of 21% VAT and exclusive of shipping costs unless stated otherwise.
2. For orders up to €50 in the Netherlands, shipping costs are €3.50. Orders over €50 are shipped free of charge.
3. For international orders, shipping costs depend on the destination country and order value.
4. Payments can be made via Wero (iDEAL), credit card, Bancontact, SOFORT Banking, PayPal, Giropay and Klarna.
5. The Customer must notify Keecie of any incorrect payment details as soon as possible.
6. If payment is not made on time, the Customer will receive a free payment reminder allowing payment within fourteen (14) days. If payment is still not made within this period, the Customer is in default and owes statutory interest and collection costs, with a minimum of €40 for Consumers and €200 for business Customers.
7. Keecie is entitled to adjust prices in the webshop.
8. Business Customers are not entitled to set off or suspend payment.
Article 6. Delivery and liability
1. Keecie delivers products with care to the Customer’s address, using various carriers:
a. Smaller products are shipped with Cycloon or DHL;
b. Larger products are shipped with GLS;
c. Orders outside the European Union are shipped with FedEx.
2. Keecie aims to ship orders placed before 15:00 on the same working day. Delivery time depends on destination and carrier.
3. Products must be delivered within thirty (30) days of ordering. If this is not possible, the Consumer may cancel the agreement free of charge, and any payment will be refunded promptly.
4. Keecie is not liable for delays caused by postal or delivery services.
5. Delivery times are indicative and exceeding them does not entitle the Customer to compensation or termination.
6. Orders may be delivered in parts.
7. Risk of loss or damage transfers upon delivery to the Customer or an authorised representative.
Article 7. Free repair service
Keecie products are made from high-quality materials and designed to last. If something breaks, Keecie offers a free repair service under the following conditions:
1. The Customer contacts Keecie and describes the damage, including photos.
2. If the product is damaged within three (3) months of purchase, return shipping is paid by Keecie.
3. If damaged after three (3) months, return shipping is paid by the Customer.
4. Keecie sends the product to a sewing workshop in Poland and aims to complete repairs within one (1) month, without guaranteeing this timeframe.
5. After repair, Keecie returns the product to the Customer at its own expense.
6. The service does not apply in cases of misuse, third-party repairs, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by water, grease or chemicals.
Article 8. Conformity (Consumers)
1. Keecie guarantees that products comply with the agreement, reasonable expectations of quality and usability, and product specifications.
If a product does not comply, the Customer must report this within two (2) months of discovery. This article does not apply to business Customers.
Article 9. Right of withdrawal
Keecie hopes that the Consumer and the product are a perfect match. If not, the Consumer may use the right of withdrawal under the following conditions:
1. The Consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason, unless the right of withdrawal is excluded. Keecie may ask for a reason, but the Consumer is not obliged to provide it.
2. The withdrawal period starts the day after the Consumer (or designated third party) receives the product.
3. If delivery consists of multiple shipments, the period starts after the last item is received.
4. Return costs are borne by the Consumer.
5. The product must be handled as it would in a physical shop.
6. Any reduction in value due to excessive use is borne by the Consumer.
7. The right of withdrawal is void if the product is used, damaged, modified or labels are removed.
8. Hygiene-sensitive products (such as earrings) are excluded.
9. Withdrawal must be submitted via email using the model withdrawal form.
10. Refunds are made within fourteen (14) days after receipt of the return.
11. Refunds are made using the original payment method.
12. If only part of an order is returned, shipping costs are not refunded.
13. Additional delivery costs are not refunded.
14. No right of withdrawal applies to business Customers.
Article 10. Exchanges
1. Products may be exchanged for another colour or item.
2. The Customer may indicate the preferred replacement on the return card.
3. Return shipping costs are paid by the Customer.
4. Keecie sends the replacement product free of charge.
Article 11. Intellectual property rights
1. Keecie owns all intellectual property rights in designs, photos, texts, videos, logos and other works.
2. Intellectual property includes copyright, trademark, patent and design rights.
3. It is not permitted to copy, distribute, publish, modify or share works without permission, except for personal use.
4. In case of infringement, Keecie is entitled to an immediate penalty of €5,000 per breach plus €50 per day.
5. Keecie may claim additional damages.
6. Payment of penalties does not grant any right to continued use.
Article 12. Force majeure
1. In case of force majeure, Keecie may cancel the agreement and will inform the Customer as soon as possible.
2. Force majeure includes war, illness, death, strikes, storms, explosions, protests, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics and government measures.
3. Keecie is not liable for damages in force majeure situations.
4. Keecie is entitled to payment for costs and investments already made.
Article 13. Privacy
1. Keecie handles personal data carefully in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Details are described in the privacy statement on the website.
Article 14. Complaints procedure
1. Keecie strives to deliver products in perfect condition. However, complaints may occur.
2. Complaints must be submitted within two (2) months of discovery, clearly described.
3. Customers should contact post@keecie.nl.
4. Complaints are handled within two (2) weeks or within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Complaints do not suspend obligations.
Article 15. Applicable law and jurisdiction
1. Dutch law applies to all legal relationships between Keecie and the Customer.
2. The courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law states otherwise.
3. The Vienna Sales Convention is excluded.
